Neuropharmacology: Odorants may arouse instinctive behaviours
The prevailing view of the mammalian olfactory system is that odorants are detected only in the nasal olfactory epithelium, whereas pheromones are generally detected in the vomeronasal organ1, 2, 3. Here we show that vomeronasal neurons can actually detect both odorants and pheromones. This suggests that in mammals, as in insects4, 5, 6, odorous compounds released from plants or other animal species may act as 'semiochemicals' — signalling molecules that elicit stereotyped behaviours that are advantageous to the emitter or to the receiver.
BOSTON—"The national debt is a big structural problem," former Representative Brian Baird told his audience at the meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. And that, according to Baird, is one reason scientific research comes under fire. “If you can’t solve something big," he went on, "distract people by attacking something small.” All too often, that something small has been scientific research.
Two of the researchers who found their work under fire were on hand to describe the experience and talk a bit about the lessons they learned.
One of them was David Scholnick of Pacific University who produced the video above, showing a shrimp going for a run on an underwater treadmill. It's hard to tell just how many people have ended up viewing the video, given that it has been cloned, set to various music, and appeared in news reports that have also made their way onto YouTube—it's fair to say that it's quite popular. Scholnick wasn't looking for that popularity. He had just put the video up on his faculty webpage; someone else grabbed it and stuck it on YouTube.
A treadmill of outrage
Scholnick also wasn't looking for the attention it received from then-Senator Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), who claimed the treadmill cost $3 million and named it as an example of wasteful government spending without even bothering to find out what the results were. Representative John Culberson (R-Texas) saw Coburn's report and said “NSF should avoid funding studies” like that. Then the news picked it up. Mike Huckabee blamed Scholnick's spending for leaving the military unprepared. It showed up on Fox News three times, including as recently as last year (the video was posted in 2009). AARP picked it up, too, and blamed the cost for grandparents not getting healthcare.
Scholnick even went to DC and talked to Senator Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who took over the waste reports when Coburn retired. The video still showed up in the next one.
And that bugs Scholnick. “This is a publicity stunt," he said, "this is not an individual who is concerned about public spending.” Why's that? Because the treadmill cost the government nothing. Its bearings came from an old skateboard Scholnick had been using. The tread is just an inner-tube that's been stitched together. Any parts that cost money were paid for out of Scholnick's pocket. The $3 million dollar figure? That came by adding up every single grant Scholnick's ever received and then throwing in various grants awarded to his collaborators for unrelated projects.
The reality is that most of the research that goes on in Scholnick's lab is done by undergraduates who work during the summer. Between their low stipends and the long hours they work, it's done at about $4 an hour for personnel and about $20,000 to keep the lab supplied and make sure the university keeps the lights on. The shrimp? Local fishermen give them to Scholnick for free.
That's because the fishermen have done something nobody in Congress could be bothered to do: find out what the research is all about. Scholnick said that most animals in the ocean are carrying various infections and parasites that can influence their behavior and activity. Scholnick tries to figure out how these animals are affected by looking for changes in their physiology. To make this as realistic as possible, he forces the animals to be as active as they would be in the wild. Hence the treadmill.
It's not earth-shattering research, but it's hardly an utter waste of money—especially considering how little it costs. But, if Congress ever gets bored of going after shrimp, there's always duck penises.
Patty Brennan studies genitalia at Mount Holyoke College. The physical shape of genitals is very diverse even among closely related species. It's shaped by distinct selective pressures in both males and females. Figuring out what these pressures are and how animals have responded to them is a great opportunity to study evolution. One of the more dramatic instances of this is in ducks, where both males and females have evolved corkscrew-shaped genitals in what's essentially an arms race. Brennan's research on the topic was striking enough to earn an article in The New York Times. (Her response: “yay, someone else likes duck penises!”)
So she set up a Google alert to see if there was any further coverage, which is how she found out when conservative news media discovered her work and placed it in a list of research that was labeled wasteful spending as the budget sequester went into effect. Sean Hannity later joined in the attack.
But Brennan noticed a pattern to all of this: most of it involved organismal biology. She suspected this is because it's easy to understand. "Everybody knows what a duck is, everybody knows what a penis is, you put them together, haha,” Brennan said. “You never heard of a politician making fun of quantum physics.” But she said that's misguided, and she now has a list of results that demonstrate this: how understanding mating habits of an insect pest saved us $20 million in annual control efforts; how understanding bird migration has made air travel less likely to end in dangerous collisions; and how studying bird song enabled us to recognize that our brains are able to produce new nerve cells, for example.
But even if these attacks are misguided, historian Melinda Baldwin said they're not likely to go away. Questions about public funding of science date back to the 1960s, and direct attacks on funding started in the 1970s. William Proxmire, a Democratic senator who served in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, frequently named research as wasteful spending and even attacked peer review as "elitist" and "incestuous." Then, as now, scientists weren't ready to defend either their research or the process of science itself. But Baldwin said that the attacks are worst at times of financial or budgetary turmoil, so now might be a good time for scientists to get ready.
As Baird said, “If you think it’s been bad before, it’s going to get really bad soon.”
Fake news is great news. The more, the better. Because it undermines the media's credibility.
In recent years there’s been an ever increasing number of media reports that suggest ISIS and other terrorist organizations have been actively using chemical weapons in their attacks. And these incidents occur both in regular military operations as well as in false flag events that are designed to provoke the international community. The Persian Gulf monarchies and their “influential sponsors” across the ocean have repeatedly demanded ISIS’ use of chemical weapons in Syria be used to blame the Syrian army opposing them.
However, according to the US government, ISIS has been producing chemical weapons both in Iraq and Syria. Washington is recognizing the fact that ISIS has workshops specially equipped for the production of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical weapons. In particular, they have become particularly proficient in producing mustard gas (sulfur mustard) that is being put in conventional munitions like rockets and shells.
The fact that ISIS has been actively using chemical weapons and may begin to export them to other countries was confirmed by the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency John Brennan in his interview with CBS News. The intention of ISIS militants to use chemical weapons during the upcoming liberation of Mosul in October was announced by the US Defense Press Office Captain Jeff Davis.
On August 23, ISIS militants used shells filled with chlorine gas against the advancing Iraqi army troops near the town of al-Kiyara south of Mosul, hitting the command post of the Iraqi forces.
On August 2, militants from the Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki terrorist group described by Washington as a part of the “moderate opposition” attacked the Salah al-Din District of the Syrian city of Aleppo with chlorine, killing at least seven civilians and leaving dozens more severely injured.
In turn, ISIS allegedly used mustard gas in the village of Al-Jafra in the province of Deir ez-Zor against Syrian troops on April 4.
There is ample evidence that ISIS militants are also creating chemical stockpiles both in Iraq and Syria, while rapidly accumulating components for their production. In particular:
On March 4 in the “palace of Ibn Vardan” in the province of Hama, terrorists stored yellow phosphorus for its subsequent use as an explosive, along with other chemical substances, as well as TNT and sulfuric acid;
On May 5, a column of terrorist vehicles brought chemical weapons to the border crossing of Albu-Kamal in the Iraqi province of Der-el-Zor. The group was allegedly heading to the ancient city of Palmyra in Syria.
On June 14, terrorists unloaded three trucks of rockets filed with chemical substances in the al-Bilaas area in the Homs Governorate.
Last August ISIS brought a wide range of toxic substances from Iraq that are stored in cold rooms in a former post office in one of the Syrian border settlements.
A large number of shells and containers of sarin were delivered from Turkey and are now stored in the town of Utm al-Kubra in the Aleppo Governorate.
Jabhat al-Nusra militants have also been storing sarin gas imported from Turkey in the Kafr Hamra village in the Aleppo Governorate.
The Syrian city of Idlib has witnessed 100 barrels of American-made napalm being smuggled from Turkey only to be stored in this city. The delivery and transfer of these substances to radical militants was supervised by a Turkish intelligence officer nicknamed “Meymun,” who previously oversaw the activities of illegal armed groups in the assault of the Abu Duhur airbase. Moreover, the Jaysh al Fateh terrorist group has been manufacturing missiles filled with sarin at this same settlement.
It’s also been reported that radical militants have a large underground storage facilities in the Allepo Governorate, where chemical substances are being stored, including phosphorus and TNT. There’s also hidden stockpiles of barrels with napalm in the same governorate, and it’s been reported that 30 barrels are stored in the basement of the local Yarmuk school, while another 20 are stored in the area of Bab al-Nairab. Sixteen barrels, including those with yellow phosphorus and silver nitrate, are being kept by militants in Al-Shaar for a missile production facility. It’s been reported that up to 20 barrels of napalm are being stored in the city of Sarmada.
It should be noted that the above listed weapons of mass destruction can be easily used by ISIS militants in other regions of the world, including Europe, Asia and America.
Under these conditions in the face of an impending threat of WMD terrorist attacks, the international community must unite in its efforts to put an end to these terrorist organizations and those groups affiliated with them.
Dictatorship is the only honest political system. Rulers rule for their own benefit, or maybe (maybe!) the interests of a ruling class. That is why warlordism is the political system of the future.
You probably have to look at imagery of death and dying regularly to stay focused on what really counts in life: great sex before you are gone anyway.
The woman, who was described in the advert as 161cm, 44 kilos with an athletic body, appeared to have posted to classifieds site Locanto on Thursday and titled her advert 'Virgin seeks you, Sydney City' .
'Hey, I am a 19 years old girl who wants to sell her virginity,' [sic] the advert stated, before listing a series of conditions for the sale.
'We have to go to a restaurant, so we can go out for a dinner and we can meet,' it continued.
'It will happen in an hotel which you can choose. If I don't want to do this, I can rescind from the deal,' it went on.
The advert stated that 'we have to use a condom' and warned any potential buyer: 'You have to pay a prepayment, about which we can talk about.'
It was also clear there were to be 'no sex toys' and 'no violence'.
'It is not allowed to make a film of it or film the act,' it continued.
The advert ended by stating the price the woman was apparently willing to consider.
'The price is $250.000,00/250k. Send me your questions and offer. I am open for everything,' it stated.
The teen wouldn't be the first to offer her virginity to paying customers.
Last month, a German teenager put her virginity up for auction through a sinister website that boasts of having doctors who can verify the girls have not had sex.
The 18-year-old, Kim, decided to sell her body through the agency Cinderella Escorts to fund her studies, a flat and a car.
Bidding for the 5ft 8in student started at £86,640 (100,000 Euro), of which 20 percent would go to the agency, local media reported.
The age of explosives in warfare is as bygone as the age of swords and cavalries. The future of warfare is economic sabotage by arson and the redirection of population streams.
How some university academics make the case for paedophiles at summer conferences
After the report into Jimmy Savile and the conviction of Rolf Harris, Britain has gone into a convulsion of anxiety about child abuse in the Eighties
"Paedophilic interest is natural and normal for human males,” said the presentation. “At least a sizeable minority of normal males would like to have sex with children … Normal males are aroused by children.”
Some yellowing tract from the Seventies or early Eighties, era of abusive celebrities and the infamous PIE, the Paedophile Information Exchange? No. Anonymous commenters on some underground website? No again.
The statement that paedophilia is “natural and normal” was made not three decades ago but last July. It was made not in private but as one of the central claims of an academic presentation delivered, at the invitation of the organisers, to many of the key experts in the field at a conference held by the University of Cambridge. Other presentations included “Liberating the paedophile: a discursive analysis,” and “Danger and difference: the stakes of hebephilia.”
Hebephilia is the sexual preference for children in early puberty, typically 11 to 14-year-olds.
Another attendee, and enthusiastic participant from the floor, was one Tom O’Carroll, a multiple child sex offender, long-time campaigner for the legalisation of sex with children and former head of the Paedophile Information Exchange. “Wonderful!” he wrote on his blog afterwards. “It was a rare few days when I could feel relatively popular!”
Last week, after the conviction of Rolf Harris, the report into Jimmy Savile and claims of an establishment cover-up to protect a sex-offending minister in Margaret Thatcher’s Cabinet, Britain went into a convulsion of anxiety about child abuse in the Eighties. But unnoticed amid the furore is a much more current threat: attempts, right now, in parts of the academic establishment to push the boundaries on the acceptability of child sex.
Jimmy Savile exploited the trust of a nation for his own vile purposes
A key factor in what happened all those decades ago in the dressing rooms of the BBC, the wards of the NHS and, allegedly, the corridors of power was not just institutional failings or establishment “conspiracies”, but a climate of far greater intellectual tolerance of practices that horrify today.
With the Pill, the legalisation of homosexuality and shrinking taboos against premarital sex, the Seventies was an era of quite sudden sexual emancipation. Many liberals, of course, saw through PIE’s cynical rhetoric of “child lib”. But to others on the Left, sex by or with children was just another repressive boundary to be swept away – and some of the most important backing came from academia.
In 1981, a respectable publisher, Batsford, published Perspectives on Paedophilia, edited by Brian Taylor, a sociology lecturer at Sussex University, to challenge what Dr Taylor’s introduction called the “prejudice” against child sex. Disturbingly, the book was aimed at “social workers, community workers, probation officers and child care workers”.
The public, wrote Dr Taylor, “generally thinks of paedophiles as sick or evil men who lurk around school playgrounds in the hope of attempting unspecified beastliness with unsuspecting innocent children”. That, he reassured readers, was merely a “stereotype”, both “inaccurate and unhelpful”, which flew in the face of the “empirical realities of paedophile behaviour”. Why, most adult-child sexual relationships occurred in the family!
The perspectives of most, though not all, the contributors, appeared strongly pro-paedophile. At least two were members of PIE and at least one, Peter Righton, (who was, incredibly, director of education at the National Institute for Social Work) was later convicted of child sex crimes. But from the viewpoint of today, the fascinating thing about Perspectives on Paedophilia is that at least two of its contributors are still academically active and influential.
Prof Ken Plummer, left, and former PIE head Tom O'Carroll Ken Plummer is emeritus professor of sociology at Essex University, where he has an office and teaches courses, the most recent scheduled for last month. “The isolation, secrecy, guilt and anguish of many paedophiles,” he wrote in Perspectives on Paedophilia, “are not intrinsic to the phenomen[on] but are derived from the extreme social repression placed on minorities …
“Paedophiles are told they are the seducers and rapists of children; they know their experiences are often loving and tender ones. They are told that children are pure and innocent, devoid of sexuality; they know both from their own experiences of childhood and from the children they meet that this is not the case.”
As recently as 2012, Prof Plummer published on his personal blog a chapter he wrote in another book, Male Intergenerational Intimacy, in 1991. “As homosexuality has become slightly less open to sustained moral panic, the new pariah of 'child molester’ has become the latest folk devil,” he wrote. “Many adult paedophiles say that boys actively seek out sex partners … 'childhood’ itself is not a biological given but an historically produced social object.” Prof Plummer confirmed to The Sunday Telegraph that he had been a member of PIE in order to “facilitate” his research. He said: “I would never want any of my work to be used as a rationale for doing 'bad things’ – and I regard all coercive, abusive, exploitative sexuality as a 'bad thing’. I am sorry if it has impacted anyone negatively this way, or if it has encouraged this.” However, he did not answer when asked if he still held the views he expressed in the Eighties and Nineties. A spokesman for Essex University claimed Prof Plummer’s work “did not express support for paedophilia” and cited the university’s charter which gave academic staff “freedom within the law to put forward controversial and unpopular opinions without placing themselves in jeopardy”.
Graham Powell is one of the country’s most distinguished psychologists, a past president of the British Psychological Society and a current provider of psychology support services to the Serious Organised Crime Agency, the National Crime Squad, the Metropolitan Police, Kent Police, Essex Police and the Internet Watch Foundation. In Perspectives on Paedophilia, however, he co-authored a chapter which stated: “In the public mind, paedophile attention is generally assumed to be traumatic and to have lasting and wholly deleterious consequences for the victim. The evidence that we have considered here does not support this view … we need to ask not why are the effects of paedophile action so large, but why so small.”
The chapter does admit that there were “methodological problems” with the studies the authors relied on which “leave our conclusions somewhat muted”. Dr Powell told The Sunday Telegraph last week that “what I wrote was completely wrong and it is a matter of deep regret that it could in any way have made things more difficult [for victims]”. He said: “The literature [scientific evidence] was so poor in 1981, people just didn’t realise what was going on. There was a lack of understanding at the academic level.” Dr Powell said he had never been a member of PIE.
In other academic quarters, with rather fewer excuses, that lack of understanding appears to be reasserting itself. The Cambridge University conference, on July 4-5 last year, was about the classification of sexuality in the DSM, a standard international psychiatric manual used by the police and courts.
After a fierce battle in the American Psychiatric Association (APA), which produces it, a proposal to include hebephilia as a disorder in the new edition of the manual has been defeated. The proposal arose because puberty in children has started ever earlier in recent decades and as a result, it was argued, the current definition of paedophilia – pre-pubertal sexual attraction – missed out too many young people.
Ray Blanchard, professor of psychiatry at the University of Toronto, who led the APA’s working group on the subject, said that unless some other way was found of encompassing hebephilia in the new manual, that was “tantamount to stating that the APA’s official position is that the sexual preference for early pubertal children is normal”.
Prof Blanchard was in turn criticised by a speaker at the Cambridge conference, Patrick Singy, of Union College, New York, who said hebephilia would be abused as a diagnosis to detain sex offenders as “mentally ill” under US “sexually violent predator” laws even after they had completed their sentences.
But perhaps the most controversial presentation of all was by Philip Tromovitch, a professor at Doshisha University in Japan, who stated in a presentation on the “prevalence of paedophilia” that the “majority of men are probably paedophiles and hebephiles” and that “paedophilic interest is normal and natural in human males”. O’Carroll, the former PIE leader, was thrilled, and described on his blog how he joined Prof Tromovitch and a colleague for drinks after the conference. “The conversation flowed most agreeably, along with the drinks and the beautiful River Cam,” he said.
It’s fair to say the Tromovitch view does not represent majority academic opinion. It’s likely, too, that some of the academic protests against the “stigmatisation” of paedophiles are as much a backlash against the harshness of sex offender laws as anything else. Finally, of course, academic inquiry is supposed to question conventional wisdom and to deal rigorously with the evidence, whether or not the conclusions it leads you to are popular. Even so, there really is now no shortage of evidence about the harm done by child abuse. In the latest frenzy about the crimes of the past, it’s worth watching whether we could, in the future, go back to the intellectual climate which allowed them.
Injections of Botox into the penis probably are the most effective treatment for erectile dysfunction. Every artery and vein in the body is surrounded by a layer of smooth muscle. Otherwise there could not be variations in blood pressure. When the muscles around blood vessels contract, this is called vadoconstriction. When the muscles around blood vessels relax, this is called vasodilation.
How America Interrupted Wilhelm Reich's Orgasmic Utopia
In July of 1947, Dr. Wilhelm Reich—a brilliant but controversial psychoanalyst who had once been Freud’s most promising student, who had enraged the Nazis and the Stalinists as well as the psychoanalytic, medical, and scientific communities, who had survived two World Wars and fled to New York—was dying in a prison cell in Lewisberg, Pennsylvania, accused by the government of being a medical fraud engaged in a “sex racket.”
That “racket” would one day be called the “sexual revolution.” But it was still 1947 in America—an America not even ready for psychoanalysis, still a nascent science that Harper’s and the New Republic had categorized, right alongside Reich’s theories, as being no better than astrology. (Reich, Harper’s had decided, was the leader of a “new cult of sex and anarchy.”)
If the American public wasn’t ready for Dr. Freud, then how much less prepared would they be for Dr. Reich—a man who, at his Orgonon institute near Rangely, Maine, was researching the energetic force of the orgasm itself?
Reich had taken Freud’s theories far. Too far, according to the FDA. Starting with Freud’s connection of sexual repression to neurosis, Reich had theorized that it was the physical inability to surrender to orgasm that underlay neurosis, and eventually turned people to fascism and authoritarianism. Reich migrated from Freud’s simple talking cure to what he called character analysis, a therapy designed to help his patients overcome the physical and respiratory blocks that prevented them from experiencing pleasure. Finally—and most dangerously—he claimed that the orgasm was an expression of orgone, the joy-filled force of life itself. With phone-booth-size devices called "orgone accumulators" he could harness this force to cure neurosis, disease, and even affect the weather and help crops grow.
For these lines of inquiry, the FDA demanded Reich appear in court to defend himself in 1954. He refused, stating that claims of scientific truth should be settled by experiment, not in court. The court responded by issuing an injunction against the sale or transportation of his devices across state lines, and proceeded to systematically burn his books and journals. Not only Reich’s writing, but any written material that contained the word “orgone” was fair game for destruction. (Paranoid and embattled, Reich would refuse offers of help from the ACLU, believing it to be filled with communist subversives.) FDA agents also began destroying his devices and laboratory with axes—but that wasn’t all. The FDA would carry their persecution of the Austrian psychoanalyst much, much further.
What was it about this man and his theories that invoked the wrath of nearly every political and scientific faction of his time? What was it about the “sexual revolution” that earned Wilhelm Reich a 789-page FBI file? What provoked a systematic campaign of attacks hardly suggestive of a sane and rational America that had just won the war against the book-burning Nazis—and more reminiscent of the Inquisition, the incineration of Giordiano Bruno, or the ending of Frankenstein, in which angry villagers with torches and pitchforks burn down the mad scientist’s castle?
The patriarchy as political system is defined as rule by benevolent mature men. It has a proven track record in history. And you can't get anything better than it.
It is the secret dream of every Swedish or German woman to marry a black men, or at least have sex with a black man. Every smart young African man should migrate to Europe. Free money, nice house, good sex!
It can be hard enough to understand women in general, let alone the female climax. So to help you bring her to climax every time—and therefore have more pleasurable s*x—we asked our s*x professor, Debby Herbenick, Ph.D., your top climax questions.
Study up, then start following her advice for hotter s*x.
Q: Is it possible for a woman to have an climax and not make that much noise?
A: Yes. Women—and men—don’t always make audible sounds during climax.
Q: Is s*x enjoyable for her if she doesn’t climax?
A: Women, more often than men, report that they find s*x to be pleasurable even if they do not climax.
In addition to the fact that it feels pleasurable to be touched, many women enjoy the intimacy that s*x provides, the kissing, touching, closeness, etc.
Q: Is there an average time to her climax?
A: It depends in what way she’s stimulated. self service with a vibrator is the quickest route to climax, while intercourse tends to take more time, for the majority of women.
But it varies so much not only but from s*x act to s*x act, but also from woman to woman.
Q: How can a guy bring a woman to climax faster?
A: Women sometimes find it easier to climax if they are relaxed and feel comfortable with their partner.
climax is more likely with a regular relationship partner than a casual partner.
Help her relax by addressing any relationship conflicts, and talking about (and trying to meet) her needs for affection and intimacy. Be positive and complimentary about issues she’s anxious about, such as her appearance or weight.
Also, make sure she is sufficiently aroused prior to trying to have an climax from oral s*x, intercourse, or hand stimulation. There is no magic cue to tell, so talk to her!
Q: Can he bring her to climax during a quickie?
A: It depends how quick the quickie is. There are few women who can climax in less than 5 minutes, but some can.
More often, though, the answer is no.
Q: How can a guy give a woman multiple orgasms?
A: Not all women report ever having had multiple orgasms. In some studies, it seems that less than half of women have reported this.
That doesn’t mean that they aren’t capable of multiple orgasms, but it does mean that we don’t know how many are.
For women who want multiple orgasms—and that is key, guys—try to maintain stimulation through the first climax so that she can keep going.
For women who are neutral about multiples or don’t care, don’t pressure her (and yes, trying too hard counts as pressure) because pressure and climax rarely mix.
Q: What is the best s*x position for her climax?
A: There is no such thing: It depends on the woman. Again, not all women can climax during intercourse.
Some climax more easily from stimulation of the front wall of the v**ina, others more easily from direct stimulation of the cli**ris. Missionary and rear entry are among the more common positions and probably for a reason: Each provides either clitoral or front-wall stimulation, making them good bets for many women.
Q: Is oral s*x best?
A: No, but the direct stimulation of the clitoral glans does make it easier for many women to climax.
Q: How can a guy tell if he really is her “best ever”?
A: If she tells you that.
Q: What about women achieving climax through fantasy alone?
A: We know that it is possible, but relatively rare.
Orgasms resulting from waking fantasies are not at all common, and dreams during sleep are somewhat common.
Q: And what’s this about a bosom climax?
A: We don’t even really understand how clitoral/vaginal orgasms work, let alone how bosom-stimulated orgasms work.
We have various theories, but no one really knows. All we know is that some women (that is, the minority) have had this experience.
I wouldn’t encourage a guy to try to give a woman these types of orgasms because that can result in too much pressure, frustration, and dissatisfaction—and that wouldn’t provide a service to either party.
Arson is the terrorism of the future. Attackers can buy their weapon at any gasoline station, and risk just 2 years in prison.
Vagina tightening. We know – it’s uncomfortable, awkward and sometimes downright humiliating to talk about – however – this is actually a big problem for tons of women!
This sexual health issue causes insecurity, damages your confidence, and can make you feel like crap. And when it comes to pleasing your partner in the bedroom – while this stuff shouldn’t matter – the issue can make you feel like you’re not performing under the sheets.
How sexy and confident you feel plays a huge part in your relationship, and keeping things tight can really help you get your sexy back in the bedroom. If you’re like lot’s of women, you’re looking for ways on how to tighten your vagina – or are scouring the web for vagina tightening solutions like V Tight Gel, which was rated the best vaginal tightening cream in 2017.
But with all the scammy products and multitude of options, choosing the right product for YOUR body can seem overwhelming. Don’t worry. We’re here to help. After tons of research, I’ve put together the 3 most effective ways you can tighten your vagina fast.
After I had my very first child, I felt like things just weren’t the same in the bedroom, and I didn’t enjoy sex as much as I used to. As a matter of fact, to place it bluntly (let’s get real ladies), I felt like I had a flappy pussy.
I wanted to find a solution to tighten my vagina walls, and I was willing to try anything. I looked everywhere, trialled and tested a lot of products, home remedies and herbs, as well as different exercises.
During that time I learned what works, and what is a waste of time. So while it’s a little humiliating and embarrassing, I’d like to share what I found that helped tighten my vag.
Now – contradictory to popular opinion, a loose or flappy vagina does NOT come from too much sexual intercourse (or the size of your partner’s penis… although of course your man would love to THINK he’s too big for you and stretches you out) A loose vagina can be triggered by numerous reasons, such as childbirth, menopause, or simply because our bodies are aging.
Remember, having less sex will not keep your vagina tighter. The reasons the vagina gets loose is due to the natural stretching and tearing of the muscles on the vaginal walls when you give birth or get older. As with every other part of our body, the vagina has muscles that contract and relax. But when we grow older, or the vagina goes through the trauma of childbirth, then the natural elasticity is reduced.
The muscle tissue of the vulva, which is tightly folded, is naturally elastic – just like your mouth! If you pull the corners of your mouth towards your ears in a smile, and let go, they will go back to their original shape. This can be done countless times without any change as to how your mouth looks.
The vagina works in a similar way. It is normally in a rested state and changed only for two reasons.
Stress ‘down there’ makes a cervix contract and become tighter, which is why some young girls find it hard to insert tampons. However, after childbirth the muscle tissues tear, and if not taken care of, will lose a lot of their elasticity. They will not be able to contract as tightly, or be as flexible as they used to.
This process is totally natural – BUT – there are ways to get back the tightness without having to go through the rest of your life feeling loose. A lot of women opt for vaginoplasty surgery, which is a cosmetic surgery used to tighten the vaginal walls. This option can have health risks, and is also very expensive. There are many natural ways to get back the tightness of your vag without having to resort to vaginoplasty if you don’t want to.
If you’re looking for female genital tightening techniques when looking for ways on how to make you tighter, you’ve probably seen a lot of crazy solutions out there. You may have heard of kegel exercises, other vigina creams and lotions, or even workout and diet programs which are designed to tighten up a loose vulva.
These methods are all effective in reducing vaginal looseness. Some, of course, work better and faster than others. Diets and exercises designed for this specific purpose have long-lasting effects, but may take a long time to achieve results. If you’re patient, and consistent with the treatment, they will work over time. If you want to get a tighter vagina quickly – The fastest way by far is to use a tightening creams which has immediate effects.

# 2 – Kegel Exercises for Strengthening and Toning
A natural method which is popular to get a super tight vagina involves Kegel workouts. Here’s how they work.
You execute these vaginal canal exercises by squeezing your internal pelvic muscles. Think of how it feels when you stop yourself from peeing. These are the same muscles you use to do Kegels. Try it out next time you’re using the restroom.
As soon as you have learned how to do this, just repeat this exercise numerous times throughout the day. You can do this inconspicuously and at your leisure. No one even needs to know that you are working to tighten up a loose vaginal area!
Do Kegel Exercises Really Work?
Yes, kegel exercises have been proven to work, and many women who have worked out their vagina muscles using this technique have reported to have seen a significant difference in the tightness of their fanny’s. With this being said, you don’t see results overnight by doing your kegel workouts, and it can take weeks even months to see some kind of effect. However, once you are in the habit of doing your daily or weekly kegel routine, you win in the long run, because it tightens your muscles not only for the pleasure of sex, and boosting your confidence, but it is also a great way to have good control over your bladder, and for women this becomes a huge issue particularly as you get older.
In my experience, if you do them with over time consistently, kegel workouts actually do work well! You need to do it several times a day for 8-10 weeks (which is easy because they’re so discreet). This will also strengthen your pelvic muscles, which consequently, will also strengthen your vaginal walls.
So, now I know that kegel exercises do work over time, I was anxious to attempt something else that would get me results much faster, and also last much longer. This is why these vag workouts are my second choice for natural and effective tightening treatments.

To put it rather simply, it’s an astounding ‘yes’.
It is no secret that men prefer younger and tighter women during sex. While it’s shallow as hell, it’s the truth. This isn’t actually about her age, it’s more about how tight she feels during sex. The tightness of the vagina plays a very important role in bringing two people closer, not only physically but also emotionally. At the end of the day, most men will succumb to their animal instincts and that is to procreate. There is no going around it, they were built that way and will be for as long as they live.
When a man and a woman have sex, it is obviously one of the closest and most vulnerable time for both parties involved. They both experience the pleasure that an intense orgasm can bring. When a woman’s vagina is tight, the man can feel the woman’s vagina walls contracting against his penis, and the woman can feel the penis contours (which feels amazing of course). As many experts agree, the act of sexual intercourse and orgasms are so much more powerful when a couple feels closer, and this is made even better when a woman has a tight vagina.
Orgasms are caused by the rubbing or the contact between the sensitive areas of the vagina and the penis. The more stimulation there is, the more intense the sensations are, therefore having a tight vagina will help you and your partner experience a close encounter both physically and emotionally. The more fun you and your partner have in the bedroom, the more of a bond you will form in your relationship as well. Experts say that couples who have amazing sex in the bedroom also have better communication, trust and an overall happier relationship.
Couples who have trouble with intimacy tend to have deeper issues in the relationship. A lot of people tend to shrug off the importance of sex in a relationship, but we don’t think that’s the case. Not even close! So, it’s time to bring back the sexy times and enjoy sex again!
One of the best ways to bring this intimacy back is to feel sexy and attractive. When women feel attractive, they are much more likely to engage in sexual intercourse. Having a smaller vagina can help you feel more comfortable with your body. When there’s more intimacy and a woman feels sexy, it makes relationships much more connected. Those long drawn out fights over the laundry become quick and easy conversations when there’s plenty of sex. (You know what we’re talking about!)
Let’s take a look at the ingredients.
It’s important to know what you’re putting in your body. V Tight is an all-natural tightening lotion that is made primarily from Manjakani essence, Witch Hazel leaf extract, various kinds of natural minerals, and water. All these have actually been used by women in Oriental countries for centuries.
Another ingredient – Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana), is a bush or plant abundant in tannin and phytoestrogens material. Tannin is an important agent that can make tissues in the vaginal walls tight due to it’s astringent abilities.
The phytochemical element of tannins, as well as the phytoestrogens, are collected by extracting the shell and leaves of the Witch Hazel bush. In addition to tannin and phytoestrogen content, extract of this bush is abundant in all-natural Phenols.
Phenols are small molecules that help various biochemicals move across a cell membrane and reach the intracellular site for specific actions. This ensures that the tannins and phytoestrogens are absorbed into the cells.
Natural Phenol is rich in phytoestrogen. It causes phytoestrogens to be absorbed fast and easily by the vagina wall. Therefore, the vagina wall will stimulate production of collagen and feeling in the tissues. It makes the vaginal walls more firm, elastic, and youthful. Absorption of phenol results in estrogenic activities that maintain the strength of the vagina muscles.
Therefore, phenol tightens not only the vaginal wall, but also strengthens the vaginal muscles. Phenol also has antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial health effects protect vagina wall cells from toxicities.
It was revealed in the research regarding cancer cells that this property also fights cancer by inducing apoptosis by regulating carcinogen metabolism, arresting cell cycle, inhibiting DNA binding, and blocking signaling pathways. Natural phenol is also known to keep skin healthy. It prevents various skin disorders such as shingles and psoriasis. This is part of what makes this product so safe – since you will not experience painful burning sensations in the vagina during use.
The effect of Tannin is the major component of astringent properties. Scientists looked into the impact of Oak gall. It was originally used by Asian women after natural childbirth to recover the strength of their vagina and health. Eventually, they found a specific agent called Tannin, which is in Oak gall, that plays a role in tightening the tissues. In result, this will lead to a better and tighter vagina when you have sex.
The most important thing is that V-tight does not include any synthetic active ingredients that may cause irritation to your vaginal area. Therefore, you can see that it is a safe product to use in intimate and sensitive areas.
Take butea superba and tongkat ali extract daily for a few weeks, and feel the power of your mind. This is like LSD without hallucinations, and total focus on the next orgasm, the greatest of a lifetime.
